From sign-up to first message

Seven steps, no surprises. Here is exactly what happens and what other people can see at each stage.

    Sign up with an email address and confirm it. You must be 18 or older.

  2. Step 2

    Build your profile

    Add photos, a short bio, your occupation and the interests you actually want to talk about.

  3. Step 3

    Set your preferences

    Who you would like to meet, an age range, and how far you are willing to travel.

  4. Step 4

    Share your location once

    We store it encrypted and use it only to calculate distance. Others see a rounded number, or nothing if you hide it.

  5. Step 5

    Discover people nearby

    Swipe or tap to like and pass. Discover ranks by shared interests and distance — never by who paid.

  6. Step 6

    Match when it is mutual

    Two yeses create a match. Only then does a conversation open.

  7. Step 7

    Chat, unmatch, or block

    Messages arrive in real time. You can unmatch or block at any point, and blocking is immediate.

What other people never see

  • Your exact latitude and longitude.
  • Your home address or live location.
  • Your location history or movement over time.
  • Your email address.
