Staying safe when you meet
- Meet in a public place the first few times, and tell a friend where you are going.
- Keep conversations on BuzzUp until you are comfortable — do not share your number early.
- Never send money, gift cards or crypto to someone you met online, whatever the story.
- Trust your instincts. If something feels off, unmatch and report — you owe nobody an explanation.
Reporting someone
Open their profile or your chat with them and choose Report. Pick a reason, add any detail you want a moderator to see, and submit. You can block them in the same place — you do not need to wait for the report to be reviewed.
